How to create a Wi-Fi QR code that works on every phone
A Wi-Fi QR code stores your network name, security type and password. Phones that support the format can offer to join the network after scanning.
Gather the exact network details
Use the network name (SSID) exactly as it appears in device settings. Network names and passwords are case-sensitive. Confirm whether the network uses WPA/WPA2/WPA3 or has no password.
A hidden network needs its hidden option set. Guest networks are preferable when you do not want visitors on the same network as private devices.
Make and check the code
Enter the details in the Wi-Fi generator. QRnook keeps the values in your browser and masks the password in the preview until you reveal it.
Scan the result with a phone that is not already connected to the network. Confirm that it offers the right network and can connect successfully.
Share it with care
Anyone who can scan the code may be able to read the network details. Put it where guests need it, and change the password or remove the code if access should end.
In short: A Wi-Fi QR code is a convenient way to share a credential, so treat the printed copy like the password itself.
